NEW YORK, Feb. 27 -- The New York Health and Hospitals issued the following news release:
NYC Health + Hospitals announced that the New York State Department of Health has approved requests for upgrades to cardiac catheterization (cath) labs in Brooklyn and the Bronx. Cath labs are examination rooms with imaging equipment used to visualize arteries and chambers of the heart to diagnose heart disease, treat any blockage identified, and prevent heart attacks.
