DALLAS, Texas, Feb. 25 -- Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, D-Texas, chair of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, issued the following statement on Feb. 24:
This morning, Katherine Johnson, the former NASA mathematician whose calculations played a critical role in the early successes of the U.S. space program, passed away at 101 years old.
