EAST LANSING, Michigan, Feb. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Great Lakes Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
The number of farms in Michigan in 2019 was 47,000, according to Marlo Johnson, Director of the USDA, NASS, Great Lakes Regional Office.
Land in farms was 9.8 million acres, unchanged from last year. The average size farm in Michigan was 209 acres per farm, constant from 2018.
