LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas, Feb. 20 -- The U.S. Air Force (47th Flying Training Wing) issued the following news:
Here at Laughlin, we started training pilots for the first time in February 1943. We had spent all summer and fall in 1942 constructing and preparing the base for occupation, and it was finally time to fly.
