WASHINGTON, Feb. 21 -- Rep. Stephen Cohen, D-Tennessee, issued the following statement:
Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a $1,137,678 grant from the National Eye Institute to conduct research on glaucoma.
"Glaucoma is a serious eye disease that is five times more prevalent in African Americans.
"This research grant will help develop therapies to treat the disease . . .
