ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, Feb. 19 -- The city of Alexandria issued the following news release on Feb. 18:
On February 18, City Manager Mark Jinks presented the Alexandria City Council with a proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 General Fund Operating Budget of $799.9 million, which represents an increase of 4.5% over the current year. The proposed budget includes $241.4 million in operating funds for the Alexandria City Public Schools, a $9.8 million (or 4.2%) increase over FY 2020 funding. T . . .
