WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 -- Sen. Robert Menendez, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-N.J.) joined colleagues in pressing Upstart and other lenders and service providers for answers following a report from the nonprofit Student Borrower Protection Center that found lenders may be charging higher interest rates to students who graduated from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
