DEARBORN, Michigan, Feb. 6 -- The Society of Manufacturing Engineers issued the following news release:
General Motors Co. reported a fourth-quarter loss and a lower full-year profit because of a strike by the United Auto Workers.
Detroit-based GM posted a quarterly loss of $194 million, or 16 cents a share, compared with a profit of $2 billion, or $1.40, for 2018's fourth quarter.
