Patty Murray, D-Washington, Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee, Jim Risch, R-Idaho, and Bob Menendez, New Jersey, ranking members and chairmen of the Senate Foreign Relations and Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committees, issued the following joint statement after holding an all-senator briefing with top administration health officials regarding the novel coronavirus outbreak that was first detected in Wuhan, China:
