WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, issued the following statement on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's resolution on rules for the impeachment trial of the President, which will operate on a compressed schedule and rejects the need for witnesses and documents:
