WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 -- Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-New York, chairwoman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, issued the following statement after becoming the sponsor of the Comprehensive Addiction Resources Emergency Act (H.R. 2569):
"I am honored to continue the work started by Chairman Elijah Cummings in becoming the lead sponsor of the CARE Act, his bill to expand access to substance use disorder treatment.
