CHICAGO, Illinois, Jan. 16 -- The Society of Thoracic Surgeons issued the following statement:
The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) has been monitoring with keen interest the controversy in the medical literature and the lay press regarding recently published studies evaluating results of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) in patients with left main disease.
