TRENTON, New Jersey, Jan. 14 -- The Sierra Club issued the following news release:
In a 27-12 Senate vote and 65-9 Assembly vote, the New Jersey Legislature passed landmark legislation to electrify the state's transportation sector and help New Jersey meet its climate goals of moving the state to 100% clean energy by 2050.
The legislation:
* Offers buyers of electric vehicles up to $5,000 in cash-on-the-hood rebates.
