WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 -- Rep. Brenda Lawrence, D-Michigan, issued the following statement on Jan. 9 regarding vote in favor of the War Powers Resolution:
"Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed House Congressional Resolution 83, the "War Powers Resolution" by a vote of 224-194. This legislation directs the President to terminate the use of the U.S. military to engage in hostilities in or against Iran unless Congress has declared war, or the use of such force i . . .
