WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 -- Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Michigan, issued the following statement after the House passed a resolution to assert Congressional authority over military actions that could lead to war with Iran:
"The American people do not want a war with Iran, and I strongly believe such a war would be disastrous. This precarious situation has reaffirmed my belief that Congress must play a central role in the decision to go to war. That is why I voted to support this resoluti . . .
