WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 -- Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Texas, issued the following statement on Jan. 9 after he joined his colleagues to pass the War Powers Resolution (H.Con.Res. 83):
"Today, my colleagues and I took a step forward to protect the lives of Americans and the values we hold dear. Last week, the President carried out an airstrike that killed a high-ranking Iranian military officer.
