WASHINGTON, Jan. 8 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following statement in response to the Iranian missile strikes on U.S. military personnel and airbases in Iraq:
"Last night's attack on our military bases was unconscionable. My prayers are with the service members and families of those who were affected as well as the Iraqis and our coalition partners. While not unexpected, this event demonstrates that Iranian belligerence will persist with or without Soleimani. . . .
