WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 -- Rep. Greg Walden, R-Oregon, ranking Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following remarks on Jan. 8 at a Health Subcommittee hearing titled, "Legislation to Improve Americans' Health Care Coverage and Outcomes":
"At today's hearing, we will have the opportunity to review initiatives intended to advance public health and wellness in children as well as other proposals affecting the Medicare and Medicaid program . . .
