WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 -- The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association issued the following news release:
Larry Cosme, National President of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA), issued the following statement regarding a change in Michigan's LEOSA policy to include U.S. Probation Officers: "Like many states, Michigan instituted a state LEOSA law. Michigan's law included a preemption clause that specifically stated they would always follow the federal LEOSA . . .
