WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 -- Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Representative John Carter (TX-31) presented the Carnegie Hero Medal to Allen Sirois, a Salado native, last week. On May 26, 2018, Allen was working in Belton when he heard a crash and saw an overturned concrete truck in flames off I-35. Sirois quickly ran to the truck with a fire extinguisher, but when it did little to combat the flames, he entered the cab of the truck and pulled the driver, Melvin . . .
