Schumer, Gillibrand, Tonko Announce That Appropriations Bill Increases Funding Cap for Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor to $14 Million

WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-New York, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY), U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and U.S. Representative Paul Tonko (D-NY-20) announced that their amendment to raise and extend the federal funding cap for the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor to $14 million has been included in the soon-to-pass end of the year budget package.
