WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Washington, ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce, issued the following statement in response to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision on the case of Texas vs. Azar:

"Yesterday the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals confirmed that Obamacare's individual mandate--which forced people to purchase coverage they couldn't afford and didn't like--was unconstitutional.
