Sen. Markey, Rep. Maloney Issues Statement on Gun Violence Research Funding in Spending Bill

WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 -- Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Massachusetts, and Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, D-New York, co-authors of the Gun Violence Prevention Research Act, issued the following statement applauding the inclusion of $25 million for gun violence research in the fiscal 2020 spending package that passed the House:
