WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 -- Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, member of the House Rules Committee, issued the following statement on the House vote on articles of impeachment against President Trump:
"Earlier this year, Speaker Pelosi said that impeachment would divide the country and should only take place as a bipartisan effort.
"Since the announcement in September, this entire process has been partisan.
