WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 -- Rep. Nydia M. Velazquez, D-New York, issued the following statement on House passage of appropriations legislation:
"The domestic spending bill that the House approved today contained a number of Democratic priorities important to the working people of New York and to our nation overall.
"Importantly the legislation provides a total of $49.1 billion for the Department Housing and Urban Development, $4.9 billion above the Fiscal Year 201 . . .
