WASHINGTON, Dec. 4 -- Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, R-Tennessee, issued the following statement after House passage of the Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence Act (S. 151):
"Aggravating robocalls are a persistent problem in East Tennessee and across the nation - scamming consumers and putting personal information at risk.
"Most Americans are familiar with the Do Not Call Registry which was previously utilized as a mechanism of defense agains . . .
