WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 -- Sen. Jack Reed, D-Rhode Island, ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued the following opening statement at a hearing on Government Accountability Office findings of inadequate privatized military housing:
"I would like to begin by again thanking the vast number of military families who have spoken out about the inadequate conditions of their privatized housing. I especially want to recognize any military families who have traveled her . . .
