TRENTON, New Jersey, Nov. 25 -- The New Jersey School Boards Association issued the following news release:
Senate President Steve Sweeney on Saturday announced proposed legislation to give school districts relief from the 2% tax levy cap for the purpose of achieving "adequacy" under the state's school funding system. Sweeney said that the legislation would be introduced within the next few weeks.
