WACO, Texas, Nov. 18 -- The American Football Coaches Association issued the following news:
The defending NCAA Division II national champions are rolling heading into the 2019 playoffs. Valdosta State (Ga.) beat West Georgia, 42-14, clinching the Gulf South Conference title and earning the Blazers a No. 1 seed in the playoffs. They also stayed ranked No. 1 in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 poll. Valdosta State has a bye in the first round and awaits the winner between No. 16 . . .
