WASHINGTON, Nov. 13 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following statement on the first day of public impeachment hearings before the House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee:
"Today's testimony makes a compelling case for the abuse of power by the President to tilt the 2020 election to his advantage by ordering an investigation into his political opponent while withholding critical military aid to Ukraine.
