Rep. Lowey Issues Statement on Violence in Hong Kong

WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 -- Rep. Nita Lowey, D-New York, chair of the House Appropriations subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, issued the following statement on the increased aggression and violence in Hong Kong:

"I am deeply concerned about the escalating violence in Hong Kong as protests continue. After a protester was shot by police, the Trump Administration's silence is deafening.
