NEWBURGH, New York, Nov. 11 -- Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, D-New York, issued the following statement in observance of Veterans Day:
"Today we honor all those who have served and sacrificed to protect our freedoms.
"My father was a proud veteran who instilled in me a reverence for our military and taught me to always honor the brave men and women who fought to defend our flag.
