WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 -- Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall:
"The fall of the Berlin Wall was a great victory in our long struggle to win the Cold War and a major catalyst for the collapse of the Soviet Union.
"Millions were released from communism's iron fist and set free from the dark shadows of the Iron Curtain.
