WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Nebraska, issued the following statement in observance of Veterans Day:
"Freedom is not guaranteed.
"It must be fought for.
"It must be passed down to the next generation through hard work and grit. The men and women of our armed forces have defended our freedom.
"It is our job to honor them and thank their families for their sacrifice." . . .
