AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 8 -- The Railroad Commission of Texas issued the following news release:
The Railroad Commission of Texas (Commission) issued a total of 971 original drilling permits in October 2019 compared 1,149 in October 2018. The October 2019 total included 895 permits to drill new oil or gas wells, 13 to re-enter plugged well bores and 63 for re-completions of existing well bores. The breakdown of well types for those permits is 249 oil, 39 gas, 608 oil or gas, 61 injectio . . .
