New York A.G. James Issues Statement on Death of Lopez

NEW YORK, Nov. 8 -- New York Attorney General Letitia James issued the following statement:

Attorney General Letitia James' Special Investigations and Prosecutions Unit (SIPU) today released its report (https://ag.ny.gov/sites/default/files/11.8.19_oag_report_-_garcia_lopez_en.pdf) into the death of Edwin William Garcia Lopez. After an investigation, SIPU did not find criminal culpability. Attorney General James released the following statement:
