ROCHESTER, New York, Nov. 8 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York, James P. Kennedy Jr., issued the following news release:
U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that following a five-week trial, a federal jury has convicted Richard Leon Wilbern, 59, of Rochester, NY, of the August 12, 2003, armed robbery of the Xerox Federal Credit Union which resulted in the death of Raymond Batzel. The charges carry a penalty of mandatory life in prison.
