AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 7 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Meredith Kennedy to the 78th Judicial District Court in Wichita County for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
Meredith Kennedy of Wichita Falls is the chief civil prosecutor for the Wichita County Criminal District Attorney's Office, where she has served since 2010.
