NEW YORK, Nov. 6 -- NYU Langone Health, an academic medical center affiliated with New York University, issued the following news release:
In a surprise announcement during NYU Langone Health's annual Violet Ball, Elaine Langone and her husband, Kenneth G. Langone, chair of the board of trustees of NYU Langone Health, informed the attendees that NYU School of Medicine will be renamed NYU Robert I. Grossman School of Medicine in honor of the current dean of the school.
