American Academy of Pediatrics: Number of Psychiatrists Rising, But 1-in-5 Children Still Live in County Lacking a Psychiatrist

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois, Nov. 4 -- The American Academy of Pediatrics issued the following news release:

Death by suicide in children, ages 10-19, increased by 86% from 2007 to 2017, according to the CDC's fatal injury database, and there is a well-known shortage of child psychiatrist in the U.S.
