AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 1 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed David W. Evans to the Fifth Court of Appeals for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
David W. Evans of Cedar Hill is currently judge of the 95th Judicial District Court in Dallas, and previously served as a Justice on the Fifth Court of Appeals and as judge of the 193rd Judicial Distr . . .
