WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. Kurt Schrader, D-Oregon, issued the following statement on the House vote to hold public hearings on the impeachment inquiry:
"I support the transition to public hearings in the inquiry on whether or not the President of the United States has crossed a line in influencing American elections.
"It is time for the public to have access to much of the information that has begun to reveal itself under the current process.
