WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, issued the following statement after voting against the impeachment inquiry resolution (H. Res. 660):
"After moving forward with this political stunt without a vote on the floor to begin with, House Democrats are now attempting to legitimize their closed-door, partisan investigation only because the American people recognize their antics for what they are.
