WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, issued the following statement after Senate Democrats blocked funding for a 2020 defense appropriations package:
"Democrats claimed that they could impeach the president and still do the people's business.
"Today's vote against funding our troops and protecting our borders proves they can't.
"Not only that, Democrats just voted to block security assistance to Ukraine for political reasons- . . .
