WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. Eliot L. Engel, D-New York, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on Lebanon:
"In the wake of mass protests and Prime Minister Hariri's resignation, I call on all parties to refrain from violence, respect Lebanon's sovereignty, and uphold the Lebanese Constitution in the political process unfolding now.
