Rep. Walden Issues Statement on Legislation to Combat Fentanyl

WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. Greg Walden, R-Oregon, ranking Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following statement on the Stop the Importation and Manufacturing of Synthetic Analogues Act, bipartisan legislation introduced by Reps. John Katko, R-New York, and Kathleen Rice, D-New York, to combat fentanyl:

"Fentanyl and other synthetic drugs are devastating our communities at a rapid pace; Congress can and must do something about it.
