PORTLAND, Oregon, Oct. 31 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued the following news release:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will extend construction on the Mouth of the Columbia River's North Jetty to Jan. 1, 2020.
The Corps originally planned to re-open the area and road at the North Jetty on Nov. 1, 2019, but jetty construction and equipment removal from the site has taken longer than the Corps previously anticipated.
