WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. Daniel Lipinski, D-Illinois, issued the following statement today in support of the Protect Against Conflict by Turkey Act (H.R. 4695):
"This week members on both sides of the aisle stood together in strong support of legislation authorizing sanctions against Turkey for its invasion of northern Syria.
"The sanctions prevent arms sales for use in Syria, hold accountable those committing human rights abuses, and penalize Turkish fina . . .
