WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following statement in response to the Homeland Security Department announcement to issue an environmental waiver to expedite the building of the border wall in the Rio Grande Valley:
"President Trump continues to blatantly misappropriate government funds, ignore the pleas of Texas landowners and seize land like a medieval feudal lord.
"We do need to secure our border and crack down on criminal . . .
