WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, issued the following statement thanking Master Sgt. Matthew O. Williams for his service and bravery in advance of attending Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House:
"Later today I'll go to the White House where the President will present Master Sergeant Williams of Boerne, Texas with the Medal of Honor.
"Master Sergeant Williams is credited with saving the lives of four wounded soldiers under intense gunfire . . .
